Types & Applications

We roll four types: hot rolled black bar, cold drawn bright bar, peeled bar and centreless ground bar. Grades 304 and 316 cover most enquiries. For wear duty, 410 and 420 work better, while 2205 duplex handles chloride-rich service. Fabricators use these bars in railings, pump shafts, food plant frames and marine fittings.

Square bars beat round stock wherever a flat seating face must carry load. Four machined faces clamp firmly in vices and fixtures, which shortens setup time. How Stainless Steel Square Bars are Manufactured

To manufacture a stainless steel square bar, we melt and cast the alloy into billets, then hot roll them through square grooved rolls at 1,100 to 1,250°C. Annealing follows, then pickling. Cold drawing through tungsten carbide dies brings the bright finish and final tolerance. We straighten, cut and inspect each bundle before dispatch.
